Tanzanian cartoonist Gado, real name Godfrey Mwampembwa, ist the most syndicated political comics artist in East and Central Africa. His work appears in the newspapers all around Africa and the rest of the world including the most respected sheets as Le Monde and The Washington Times.
Based in Nairobi, Gado worked for Kenya’s most famous paper The Daily Nation for over two decades. Many assumed that he had to leave, due the pressure from the Kenyan government.
