Debut Album of Sudan Archives is a Futuristic Masterpiece

Brittney Parks a.k.a. Sudan Archives is a violinist, songwriter, and singer, and on the top, she produces her music.

Sudan Archives grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she from early on, played with different instruments in the house. Her main inspiration comes from Sudanese fiddlers and her unique style derivates from elements such as experimental electronic music and R&B.

When Sudan discovered the violin playing style of Northeast Africa, she soon started to mix it up in her productions and find different possibilities to apply the instrument exotically.

She then moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19 to study music technology and after meeting with Stones Throw A&R, the rest was history. Her EP Sudan Archives was an amazing debut and soon she was playing in major festivals such as Pitchfork and Moogfest.

Now she finally released her debut Album “Athena”, which is a futuristic realm where imagination and revelation and constantly combining with her sound of avant-garde harmonic spheres.
