Fashion Designer Palesa Mokubung established her clothing label “Mantsho” in Johannesburg and is presenting her collection in South Africa Fashion Week.
Palesa style focused on African cultures and transformed them into avant-garde and bold designs. Palesa first started as a designer in the famous boutique “Stoned Cherrie,” a uniquely South African fashion brand, before she started with her new label “Mantsho.”
Her fashion has traveled to Greece, Jamaica, New York, Nigeria and many more showcasing her designs.
Now Palesa is presenting her fashion in South Africa Fashion Week, in the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. This year’s theme is “21 Years: Making Histories with South African Fashion Week”.
South African fashion is under the spotlight as the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz Mocca) premieres a new fashion exhibition titled “21 Years: Making Histories with South African Fashion Week”.
Visitors will have the first chance to view the work of popular fashion designer such as Black Coffee, Ephymol, House of Ole, to name a few.
