Queen of Sci-fi Author Nnedi Okorafor Book “Binti” Is Finally Being Filmed By Hulu

Award-winning Nigerian author Nnedi Okorafor’s most acclaimed afrofuturistic trilogy “Binti” is finally being adapted for Television. The African sci-fi novel will become a TV series and is set to premiere on Hulu.

“Binti” is set in a technologically and socially advanced future. It tells the story of a brilliant and rebellious young woman who is destined to lead her community in Africa. But when she’s admitted to the most prestigious academy in the galaxy, she chooses a different path and, rejecting her family’s wishes, leaves her community behind in favor of the starry skies.

At the present, Nnedi Okorafor is in the development process with HBO on the series adaptation of her most claimed novel “Who Fears Death”, and the executive producer is the world claimed “Game of Thrones” author George R. R. Martin.

Okorafor is planning to expand the narrative on the “Binti” world.
